What is a product page SEO strategy?

Do you use PhDs?

Yes! Digital Elevator has PhDs that are highly trained SEOs so you can be confident we understand the science and SEO. Most of our PhD SEOs have over 10 years of experience as SEOs.

When should I consider SEO over other marketing strategies?

Search engine optimization is a long term play. We recommend SEO for brands with established product or service lines and with viable keyword opportunities. For example, we would recommend SEO to an established medtech or medical device company but not necessarily for an emerging biotech with nothing to sell.

How long does SEO take to work?

Most SEO campaigns begin to see traction in the form of keyword movement in the first couple of months. However, significant traffic gains usually take at least six months given the momentum that needs to be generated to get content indexed and ranked well. If the client is a new startup, traction can take significantly longer due to the need to establish ranking factors and authority.

Should I do SEO or PPC?

We recommend SEO for clients who are ok with investing in a channel that takes longer to take effect but ultimately has more benefits in terms of brand awareness as well as proving to be the most cost effective lead generation channel. For clients that have an immediate need to generate leads or sales, we recommend PPC. Ideally, we recommend our clients invest in both channels simultaneously to diversify their marketing efforts.

Tell me about your contracts.

We have contracts that are aligned with the goals of the client. This includes project-based contracts as well as retainers. If ongoing SEO is merited to reach your goals, we will let you know. As our clients are informed of the nature of SEO and its long term game, we do ask for engagements in the realm of six months. However, we have reasonable opt-out clauses that are 30-days in the event internal budgets or strategies change.

How can I determine if the SEO strategy is working?

We’ll set up automated monthly reporting to review the areas that are working. In the initial stages of an SEO campaign, this usually means incremental gains to keyword rankings before traffic gains are increased. These gains, however, are leading indicators of campaign success and should be celebrated as they continually move towards top rankings.

How much do we need to spend?

Our minimums for SEO are currently $6,000 per month but greatly depend on the industry you are in, the complexity of the campaign, and your goals. Project-based campaigns are quoted based on the full scope of the campaign and not necessarily per month. We utilize PhDs in nearly every campaign, and they are often involved in project strategy, SEO, or content writing.
