IBT Bioservices recently relaunched its website using a web development vendor that lacked SEO expertise. This led to numerous technical SEO issues, including poor site speed, which negatively impacted keyword rankings. As the company offers both eCommerce products and services, creating a healthy site environment was essential for improving rankings and driving growth. In addition to technical issues, our analysis revealed a lack of optimization for commercial-intent keywords. To address this, we proposed comprehensive keyword research and implementation, starting with the site’s service pages to lay a strong foundation for future SEO initiatives. Adding to the complexity, IBT sought measurable SEO progress within just three months—a challenging timeline that we don’t typically recommend but were prepared to tackle.

Solutions

To address the technical SEO issues, Digital Elevator conducted a detailed technical SEO audit and implemented fixes to significantly improve the site’s health score. We also recommended upgrading to a more sophisticated hosting provider, better suited for an eCommerce environment. Collaborating with IBT’s existing development team, we prioritized critical fixes, ultimately achieving a 99% health score for the site.

Next, we optimized approximately 40 service pages before transitioning to content marketing. Service pages, which capture bottom-funnel traffic, were prioritized to maximize immediate impact. Using our keyword research, we enhanced these pages by expanding content, adding FAQs, and consulting on conversion rate optimization strategies for the development team to implement.
