GC Flooring Pros is a flooring contractor based in northern Dallas, TX who provides a full line of wood, tile, carpet and vinyl flooring supply and installation services to residential and commercial clients. They serve a wide region in northern Dallas, with hubs in Frisco, Little Elm, and Prosper.

The Challenge

Initial conversations with GC Flooring Pros centered around their Google My Business listings and getting them to rank for generic keywords like “flooring contractor [city].” These smaller Dallas towns, despite being outside the main metropolitan area, are highly competitive as there are a large number of flooring contractors as well as big box stores vying for top rankings. Additionally, GC Flooring Pros wanted a multi-location local SEO campaign to encompass their three main hubs and the ability to scale beyond them should they create more service areas.

Solutions

GC Flooring Pros had existing Google My Business listings that we helped manage and optimized. We also created central locations pages for each hub and pointed the Google My Business page to those pages, as this is best-practice for multi-location local SEO. We created individual citation campaigns across each of these locations to help reinforce local rankings, leading to improved rankings in the map pack and organic listings.

We then went on to build out and optimize local service pages for all the various flooring services the company provides. After these foundational SEO elements were in place we went on to reverse engineer competitor content and created blogs to drive traffic, natural links, and to increase overall site domain rating. These efforts help build brand awareness but also drive link equity to all the service pages, helping the site rank for over 2,500 keywords.

GC Flooring also benefits from automated posting of content to their Google My Business page and has an automated newsletter that is sent out from an RSS attached to their MailChimp account.
