These topics are identified in our initial strategy phase.

What kind of content do you create?

We create all sorts of industry-leading content for our clients based on their needs. This can range from static service or product pages that need to be written with effective sales copy and SEO married together, as well as industry-best blogs, libraries, or resource hubs. We also love to create highly interactive content like calculators, data visualizations, interactive quizzes, or infographics. We strategize, create, and implement content for our clients using our team of SEOs, content writers, designers, and developers.

Do you have in-house PhDs?

We’ve been writing content for a long time and realized that the specialization of one PhD varies greatly from the PhD “across the hall in the lab.” So, part of our process is to source specialists within the specific industry of our clients who can write scientifically accurate content with help from the SEO team.

How do you price your content marketing services?

Charging for a blog post goes against our philosophy because the time required to create top-notch content varies for each topic. For instance, crafting an 800-word blog with stock images is less time-consuming than developing a 2,000-word blog with two custom infographics. Instead, we adopt a content marketing unit system that is time-based, allowing us to modularize your program according to the specific scope required for each asset. Clients enroll in a specific number of units each month. During the content strategy phase, our goal is to formulate a project plan supported by data for those units. This plan is designed to efficiently achieve rankings and generate revenue in the shortest time possible.

Is link building included?

Link building is often recommended to dominate rankings. However, it is possible to rank without links, and we'd like to explore that path after we've produced a fair amount of content and we can monitor where that content ranks without links. This also saves some costs for you as link building is time intensive and therefore expensive. In addition to strategic link building, we might recommend digital PR to generate more organic links and mentions as well as help the site increase domain rating (DR). That said, we may recommend our link building services depending on the content production and level of competition.

Tell me about your contracts.

We have contracts that are aligned with the goals of the client. This includes project-based contracts as well as retainers. If ongoing content production is merited to reach your goals, we will let you know. As our clients are informed of the nature of SEO and its long term game, we do ask for engagements in the realm of six months. However, we have reasonable opt-out clauses that are 30-days in the event internal budgets or strategies change.

How much do we need to spend?

Our minimums are currently $6,000 per month but greatly depend on the industry you are in, the complexity of the campaign, and your goals. Project-based campaigns are quoted based on the full scope of the campaign and not necessarily per month. If you bring your own writers to the campaigns we can discuss discounting the minimums.

How can I determine if the content strategy is working?

We’ll set up automated monthly reporting to review the areas that are working. In the initial stages of an SEO-driven content marketing campaign, this usually means incremental gains to keyword rankings before traffic gains are increased. These gains, however, are leading indicators of campaign success and should be celebrated as they continually move towards top rankings.
